  Academic requirements
  
  Applicants who wish to pursue a PhD degree must hold an MA degree in Linguistics or Linguistics-related fields.

  Admission process
  There is no written exam. Application materials will be reviewed, followed by an oral interview. The admission is given to candidates with the highest scores combined:
  Oral exam: 60%
  Application materials review: 40%
  
  Application materials:
  1.      Two letters of recommendation
  2.      Study plan that specifies field of interest, future research direction and background information
  3.      MA thesis (or draft submitted for oral defense) and samples of research paper
  4.      One official transcript each from undergraduate and graduate programs
  
  Prepare 5 copies of documents 2-4 for review.
